This is has been a long time coming…

For those not in the know, 2manydjs made back in 2001 one of, if not the best ever mix album entitled ‘As Heard on Radio Soulwax Pt. 2”. The full history of the making of the album, can be found on Wikipedia, but before its realise, and after 2manydjs did radio shows, that where broadcast for free on Belgium radio stations. After Pt.2 was realised people started recording the radio sets and then editing them to fit on a 70min CD.

There is a long list of bootleggs many of which I don’t own or know the names off, but there have only been 2 official 2manydjs albums; ‘As Heard on Radio Soulwax Pt.2’ and ‘50,000,000 Soulwax fans Can’t be Wrong’, the only other official full mix realise is CD2 in the ‘Most of the other remixes’ set.

Before I was aware of this, I bought every 2manydjs album I could find… but know I know the truth and decided to do something about it.

So in early August I began to zip and rar all of the bootleggs that I had bought, and re-scanned some of the album art work so that it was all in high quality, and then attempted to upload them, so people could download them for free, and help combat these bootleggers, that people like ebay would do nothing about. But BT (my ISP) essentially blocked me from uploading anything close to the size of these albums. So I contacted Kevin the owner of Soulwax.info to see if he would upload them to his site if I posted him the bootleggs, he agreed and of they went.

Here is a pic of all the bootleggs I own along with the 2 DVDs I posted, that also contained live sets done by the brothers & One Man Party (another member of Soulwax);

Well there were problems at his end as he didn’t have enough server space for all of the mixes and albums, so then we debated as to what would be the best solution for everyone. Well now finally they are live, at least some of them. The first batch has been uploaded and you can download them for free. We have no idea about the legality, as ebay won’t stop the bootleggers from profiting, why should we be stopped for stopping them.
